As of WCS version 6 Feature Pack 2 and WCS 7, IBM is providing Out of the box integration with sitemap protocol. What does this mean to the store developers ?.
1. As of older versions we will have to let the search crawlers through the complete site and build an index of pages for your site.
2. Developers now need to define a sitemap_storeId.xml file which will list all of the pages of the website.
3. You can schedule an out of the box command which can run through the store archive and build the updated sitemap_storeId.xml as part of nightly jobs.
