IBM recently released feature pack 1 enhancements for WebSphere commerce 7, one of the very important enhancements includes ability to generate LTPA cookie in single signon scenario, in older versions, WCS can only participate in LTPA cookie which was generated by either a WAS login module or Portal server, there was no option to generate LTPA token within the commerce server. This new feature enables WCS to act as an authentication and single sign on engine for multiple enterprise application running on IBM/WAS technology.
